A touch of new objectivity

Quo vadis, furniture design? This year’s Salone del Mobile reveals a few ideas. An analysis in our glance back at the fair.
Moroso asked young Venetian designer Luca Nichetto - who created the very popular Around the Roses collection - to research and develop a new family of tables to add to its product range.
Nichetto has created a range of tables named Black Stone. Rectangular or square tables for indoors or outdoors, with beautiful tops made of porcelain laminate bonded with glass. The tabletop is thus self-supporting and the steel legs are attached directed to the top. Three sizes available: 100x100 cm, 100x180 cm, 100x240 cm.
To add a touch of further beauty to his sleek, simple tables, Luca Nichetto has chosen romantic, poetic decoration - splendid flower pictures taken by a friend, photographer Massimo Gardone. The images are sublimation-printed onto the porcelain. The indoor version offers the choice of painted legs, while the outdoor tables have brushed steel legs.
