A touch of new objectivity

Quo vadis, furniture design? This year’s Salone del Mobile reveals a few ideas. An analysis in our glance back at the fair.
Function and design in one, Coat is a sofa without feet but it has no problem gripping the floor. Its fabric is printed using the same techniques used to produce anti-slip socks, giving a decorative shading pattern which keeps it in perfect contact with the floor but also light to move around. A separate removable cover is soft and cosy and reminiscent of a snuggly throw.
