Revival vs. Innovation

The grand review: These are the trends and highlights of this year's Milan furniture fair.
The inspiration for the new line of beds sprang from the collection of sofas and accessories produced last year. The idea is to carry forward the play on classic materials - linen and cotton - whilst overstating the sense of comfort and intimacy, and maintaining the simplicity of the concept.
The beds are built on a wooden platform, finished using a special painting technique to give a vintage effect. Solidly supported on iron feet, the structure comes with two different options for the headboard: either standard or oversized, the latter of which includes space for two bedside tables, creating a private area between the bed and the room in which it is set.
This overplayed form gives the bed a strong character, whilst the linen fabric adds a sense of delicate sophistication. The other version of the bed is the next step in the evolution of the soft, comfortable sofa, with big, squashy cushions that confer a modern, delicate appeal.
