Quo vadis, furniture design? This year’s Salone del Mobile reveals a few ideas. An analysis in our glance back at the fair.
TAKE OFF is the design development of the bergère chair "Take a Line for a Walk", the particular rounded, wrap-around form of which has been reinterpreted to transmit comfort and fantasy to the home interior, around to a lunch table, for the home office and also in waiting areas. The structure of the armchair is steel covered in high resilience foam and polyester fibre. A version with adjustable base and spokes is envisaged.
