New tables: From material fetish to the Zen factor

Be they short or long of leg, simply unique or extravagant: there’s no end to the variety of tables in Milan.
The idea is simple: wrap a metal structure in a padded cloak in the same way a coat fits around a body, transforming the covering into an article of clothing to be fastened with buttons and zippers.
The fabric created expressly by Dutch brand Innofa and designed by Benjamin Hubert completes the padding inside in order to ensure high levels of comfort despite the limited use of polyurethane foam, which has been reduced to the essential thanks to the presence of elastic straps. A project with highly modern connotation, a stimulating point of departure on the search for sustainability in the industrial production of padded chairs.
The framework in painted steel tube bent using CNC machinery adds support straps that give the chair further shape and structure while guaranteeing adequate resistance and flexibility to both the backrest and the seat.
