With “[In Vitro](https://www.stylepark.com/en/flos/in-vitro-ceiling)” for [FLOS](https://www.stylepark.com/en/manufacturer/flos) [Philippe Starck](https://www.stylepark.com/en/designer/philippe-starck) resorts to an ancient archetype: the lantern in which the illuminant, in other words the candle, oil lamp, or bulb is protected by a glass cover. Starck “dematerializes” this illuminant so that all that is visible is the glass cover illuminated by a now invisible source. Available in a standing, wall-mounted or ceiling models, Phillippe Starck refers to his design as “poetic and surreal”.
