More reality than illusion – one hundred percent wood composite flooring

Natural wood floors most certainly have a charm of their own: They can be treated, oiled, stained, , lacquered, polished, or just left untreated. Over the years the wooden planks turn gray naturally. If one wants to counter this weathering process, the wood needs to be continually cared for, particularly outside wooden decking is exposed to the influences of nature.

The durable floor panels made of sustainable wood composite by Mydeck are an alternative to the weatherproof planks made of hard tropical wood, taking up and advancing the outer texture of traditional woods. The planks retain their shape (through the ruptured wood fibers the planks do not warp like wood) and their color (UV-proof colors prevent them from graying).

A team of architects, designers, and engineers developed a new decking collection for Mydeck. The resistant wood of French spruce trees and Douglas firs is now used exclusively for the range of colors and finishes. Shavings from the wood treatment are recycled in the production process. They are treated and blended with polyethylene to create a sustainable wood composite. The new product lines are called Plank (with a finely brushed finish) and Stripe (in landing stage-look). They are available in light brown, dark brown, gray, and white.

No special tools are required to prepare the Mydeck planks, they are solid and, like hard wood, can be saws and screwed together. The new decking collection comes with a 25-year warranty against splitting, rot, mould, splintering, cracks, and all forms of insect infestation.
