The new building of the University Hospital Jena by the architects Wörner Traxler Richter has created a pleasant atmosphere for patients and hospital staff: Since all clinical disciplines have now been brought together under one roof, the routes for transport and communication have become much shorter. Simonswerk's hinge technology, however, ensures smooth running in the building: with the Variant VX 7749/160-4 Care, the doors can be opened at an angle of 90 degrees from the frame passageway. This means that the entire door width is available as a passable area for the transport of beds, wheelchairs and medical equipment. And Simonswerk's hinge systems are not only of advantage for the medical staff: "When executing care tapes, space savings can already be achieved through the 90 degree opening for planning purposes. This increases the area effectiveness of the owner and investor", says Dennis Pilz of Wörner Traxler Richter.
In the fast-cycle processes in the 130,000 square meter building, the load-bearing capacity of the doors is also an important aspect. In order to meet the daily demands on the sound insulation doors of the patient rooms, three door hinges from Simonswerk's Variant Care hinge system support the inputs and outputs. With a concealed, maintenance-free plain bearing and 3D adjustment technology, a permanently safe function can be provided. In addition, the Variant hinge system offers high load values of up to 100 kilograms. (am)
