You don’t even see the nicest windows

Sky-Frame is a unique system for large-surface sliding windows with which the surrounding frame can be fitted flush with walls, ceilings, and floors. A filigree 20 millimeter vertical glazing bar where two sections overlap is all that is visible of the frame. This makes for unimpeded panoramic views and seamless transition from inside to outside. Maximum transparency is at the heart of Sky-Frame's product and corporate philosophy. Not the window itself, but rather the light, the surroundings and the sky are meant to be the center of attention and able to be appreciated by the observer. The borders between inside and outside meld and the spaces begin to flow. The floor-to-ceiling windows, which can be up to four meters high, offer 98 percent incidence of light, meaning that the rooms are always flooded with light. And even in the case of round-corner solutions there is no jamb to disturb the dialog between inside and outside.

In addition to the advantages in terms of aesthetic appeal the Sky-Frame systems meet the highest standards for thermal insulation and safety.

With its new "Sky-Frame 3" product line the Swiss manufacturer R&G Metallbau AG is setting totally new standards in the unique field of insulated frameless sliding windows. This is the first and to date the only metal sliding window system to receive "Minergie module window" certification; indeed, thanks to its triple glazing and profile, it achieves a heat transfer coefficient of clearly lower than 1.0 W/m2K. A Minergie window represents the very best in cutting-edge technology, in particular with regard to thermal insulation, condensation, air-tightness and soundproofing.
