Form swivel chair

A flawlessly cohesive design and visionary variations characterise the bestselling Form collection, which was introduced in 2014 and is being continually expanded. Normann Copenhagen now presents two exciting new additions to Form, with flexibility as their common denominator. At the Orgatec 2016 fair, you can experience Form for the first time, with a swivel or stacking base. 

The new swivel base in cool aluminium gives the Form chair a masculine and exclusive look as well as comfortable freedom of movement, making the chair eminently suitable for places like conference rooms and restaurants. The swivel base grips the chair shell with four slim arms that meet in a rotating centrepiece, which then branch out into either five or four legs, depending on whether the chair comes with castors. 

The swivel base with castors comes with a top quality gas pump and adds an aesthetic, yet functional, character to any office environment. The steel stacking chair has a light and slim silhouette, while giving Form a new level of flexibility. The chairs are easy to put aside when they are not in use, making it possible to transform interior furnishings and store larger amounts of spare chairs. The Form stacking chairs are easy to stack from the front by sliding one chair over another. The design of the chair base also makes it possible to connect the chairs to each other in rows. The stacking base is available for both the Form chair and the Form barstool. 

The new base is integrated in a natural and harmonious way with the Form collection’s various shell designs. In order to achieve this, Normann Copenhagen and designer Simon Legald have developed an innovative and sleek solution, in which the legs are fitted into four moulded plastic sockets that follow the seat of the chair perfectly. This creates the illusion that the legs are practically growing out of the shell and makes it possible to fit different kinds of bases in the same sockets. 

The specially-developed assembly principle permits a wide range of combination options, in which the various Form models, chair, armchair and bar stool, can be given different expressions, all according to the choice of base, colour and upholstery. The new additions to the range of bases allow for even more versatile options – with a dazzling number of over 40,000 possible combinations, Form can be customised to fit exactly the style and mood that you want to create.
The Form swivel base is available in black, white and polished aluminium, while the stacking base is available in 6 colours and chrome.
