More than 4,500 m² of perforated aluminium sheets have been used to create an innovative facade, with sun screens that automatically adjust according to light and heat levels. The triangular motif has been repeated throughout the building in different forms and shapes, giving the construction a special dynamic effect and openness. RMIG has extensive experience with sun screens that feature innovative perforated designs, making them both functional and inspirational. The perforation pattern used for the facade at SDU is designed and adapted to the sun screen’s opening angle of 30 degrees, which gives the optimal balance of light and energy in and out of the building. This means that those using the building can benefit from the correct amount of light, as well as enjoying a comfortable indoor climate in the rooms along the facade. At the same time, the perforated and transparent facade ensures a strong interaction between the building and its surroundings. **All Pictures:** Universitäts Campus, Kolding **Architect:** Henning Larsen Architects **Design year:** 2013 ![Rmig Imageperf Perforated Cladding University Campus Kolding 7](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/r/rmig/produkte/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding-7.jpg)![Rmig Imageperf Perforated Cladding University Campus Kolding 4](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/r/rmig/produkte/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding-4.jpg)![Rmig Imageperf Perforated Cladding University Campus Kolding 8](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/r/rmig/produkte/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding-8.jpg)![Rmig Imageperf Perforated Cladding University Campus Kolding 2](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/r/rmig/produkte/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding-2.jpg) ![Rmig Imageperf Perforated Cladding University Campus Kolding 6](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/r/rmig/produkte/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding-6.jpg)![Rmig Imageperf Perforated Cladding University Campus Kolding 9](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/r/rmig/produkte/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding-9.jpg)![Rmig Imageperf Perforated Cladding University Campus Kolding 5](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/r/rmig/produkte/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding-5.jpg)![Rmig Imageperf Perforated Cladding University Campus Kolding 3](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/r/rmig/produkte/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/rmig-imageperf-perforated-cladding-university-campus-kolding-3.jpg) - [Manufacturer's Product-Info](http://rmig.com/en/city+emotion/case+studies/projects/kolding+campus,+sdu) - [Manufacturer's website](http://rmig.de/city+emotion) - [All products by RMIG City Emotion @ Stylepark](https://www.stylepark.com/en/products/manufacturer/rmig-city-emotion) - [RMIG City Emotion @ Stylepark](https://www.stylepark.com/en/manufacturer/rmig-city-emotion) RMIG City Emotion Related Articles [FEATURED Learning from the forest 4/20/2021 In Luxembourg, a new school takes up the surrounding forest in the design of its facade.
