The subtle difference

Light + Building recently closed its doors to the public in Frankfurt/Main. Which topics are people still talking about? Here is Stylepark’s retrospective overview of the fair.
Central combines graceful design with extreme functionality and flexibility. Measuring over two meters at its maximum height, Central Floor is a real eye-catcher, yet remains light in terms of form. This is thanks to its two brushed stainless steel telescopic arms. The height can be adjusted via the vertical telescopic tube, and the out- reach via the more delicate horizontal telescopic arm – for use above the coffee table or as a striking dining table luminaire. The groove in the shade gives rise to a soft light and in so doing itself becomes a design element. As a suspended luminaire, Central Suspension is suitable for diverse interior situations.
With a sweeping gesture Central Floor leans down into the space, immersing it in its warm light. There is no sensationalism at play, but every detail is thought-through. For instance the mechanism in the striking arm, which can be adjusted in terms of both height and for different functions also outreach. The asymmetrical arrangement on the black base plate, two gentle bends in the arch and the all-round groove in the lampshade all lend the luminaire character.
