You virtually expect some kind of buzzing sound but the movement follows your hand noiselessly. Wolfgang Hartauer’s tables are ingenious marvels. Sculptural cylinders that make a statement out of a room. Hartauer designed them while looking for a decent coffee table. Nothing suitable to be found? He made a virtue of necessity and simply created one himself. Ulm-born Hartauer, who studied architecture in Munich, shaped rings out of MDF boards and joined them together seamlessly like the annual growth rings on a tree. For him the fact that the base of the larger table would remain hollow had a beneficial side effect in that it provided storage space. This table is not just a table. The black lacquered MDF rings lend it a structure. The revolving tabletop that opens out to the side can be used to store things and allows you to look inside. Hartauer’s motto: »All that is revealed must be beautiful.« The interior is striking: meticulously crafted with a stainless steel shaft that revolves noiselessly on slide bearings and makes the whole thing movable. Perfect like clockwork. Coffee table, revolving tabletop, MDF lacquered, black, white, taupe or red. Option: Black MDF, sealed matt, tabletops with black FENIX ![Ep03350 040](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/articles/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/EP03350-040.jpg)![Ep03350 055](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/articles/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/EP03350-055.jpg)![K8 02](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/K8-02.jpeg) ![Ep03350 030](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/articles/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/EP03350-030.jpg)![Ep03350 029](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/articles/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/EP03350-029.jpg)![Ep03350 054](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/articles/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/EP03350-054.jpg) ![K8A](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/articles/_1410x940_crop_center-center_none/EP03350-053.jpg) - [Manufacturer's Product-Info](https://www.tecta.de/en/produkt/k8/?dev=%252525252525270...%27A%3D0) - [Manufacturer's website](https://www.tecta.de/) All K8 products - [![K8B](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/articles/_350x225_crop_center-center_none/EP03350-008.jpg)](https://www.stylepark.com/en/tecta/k8b) - [![K8A](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/articles/_350x225_crop_center-center_none/EP03350-031.jpg)](https://www.stylepark.com/en/tecta/k8a) - [All products by TECTA @ Stylepark](https://www.stylepark.com/en/products/manufacturer/tecta) - [TECTA @ Stylepark](https://www.stylepark.com/en/manufacturer/tecta) TECTA Related Articles [REVIEW – SALONE DEL MOBILE & MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2024 Nostalgia and drive 4/23/2024 The Salone del Mobile.Milano and Milan Design Week took place from 16 to 21 April 2024 – read our review to find out what moves the industry and the guests got to see.](https://www.stylepark.com/en/news/salone-del-mobile-milan-design-week-review-design-industry-event-stylepark-magazine) [DESIGN Tecta 2022: D70 ARMCHAIR 5/30/2022 With the armchair "D70" by Tecta, Marco Dessí has designed a timeless piece of furniture inspired by Bauhaus and composed of various geometric figures.](https://www.stylepark.com/en/news/tecta-2022-d70-armchair-marco-dessi-stylepark) [STYLEPARK RAFFLE Hi-Tech meets Low-Tech 4/1/2022 Stylepark is raffling off one "Split Chair" by Tecta.](https://www.stylepark.com/en/news/stylepark-raffle-split-chair-tecta) [STYLEPARK RAFFLE Minimalistic all-rounder 1/1/2021 Stylepark raffles off a copy of the "K7B" by Tecta.](https://www.stylepark.com/en/news/stylepark-raffle-tecta-k7b) [DESIGN TECTA 2020: K7 9/24/2020 Chair ladder step: "K7" by Thomas Schnur for Tecta.](https://www.stylepark.com/en/news/tecta-2020-k7-thomas-schnur)
