The furniture whisperer

In the exhibition “Typecasting. An Assembly of Iconic, Forgotten and New Vitra Characters,” Robert Stadler lends furniture a voice. Let’s take a listen!
In designing Kuubo, Naoto Fukasawa has created a table system that exudes purist elegance. Despite its reduction in form, or perhaps precisely because of this, Kuubo lends itself to many different kinds of work processes – particularly where emphasis is placed on a successful joint team effort and where a culture of open communication is encouraged. Kuubo is well suited as a central team table in such an environment, serving many purposes as it can be easily adapted within seconds for different situations and uses. Files can also be stored away in the integrated box compartments and accessed at any time without interrupting the workflow. With these qualities, Kuubo is ideal for project work in team rooms or business centres where a clear desk policy is in place.
