MBRACE Collection
"I wanted to use the traditional weaving technique to create a design that resembles a gesture – a hug," says Sebastian Herkner about his outdoor collection "MBRACE" for Dedon. The textile structure of the generous backrests of the armchair, high-back chair, armchair and rocking chair is hand-woven from Dedon Fiber and Dedon Fiber "touch". The result offers a natural look and feel, a particularly high level of comfort – even without the optional cushions – and an overall aesthetic enhancement of the outdoor area. The design of the fibres for "MBRACE" is also special: In collaboration with colour consultant Giulio Rodolfo, Sebastian Herkner and Dedon have developed unusual combinations that bring a special depth to the design of the wickerwork. A total of six variations are possible, from warm white to earthy red to rich black. This large selection of finishes creates numerous possibilities to fulfil individual wishes with "MBRACE". To ensure that the outdoor collection by Sebastian Herkner is enjoyed for as long as possible, the recyclable Dedon fibre is extremely resistant to cold, heat, ultraviolet radiation, salt and chlorinated water. Many of the seats in the collection can be made with a teak frame or an aluminium base with a coloured powder coating. The stool and the daybed as well as the handmade dining and side tables also offer an ideal complement.
Since the diverse designs of the "MBRACE" collection are ideally coordinated despite their own character, the furniture is suitable for every conceivable lounging or dining situation: whether a classic setting or a striking colour combination, whether a small garden or a large patio – with "MBRACE", every outdoor area can be ideally and flexibly furnished. And should the weather not be cooperating, the models can also be harmoniously integrated into the interior.
