Wood is arguably unparalleled in its capacity to tell us so much about its history. Its age, origin, indeed even the weather conditions while it was growing – the trained eye can read all of that in a tree trunk.
The Danish wood-flooring specialist Dinesen does justice to this quality of wood in a very special way with its HeartOak range. Made from the heartwood of oak trees up to 200 years old, the floorboards retain the trees’ natural irregularities and cracks. They lend every floor made from them a uniqueness and special character that is in turn transferred to the spaces in which they are laid. The fine artisanal details such as the small inset oak butterfly joints that hold the natural cracks in place also contribute to this impression.
Dinesen HeartOak floorboards are available in especially large sizes: They come in lengths of up to 5 meters and widths of up to 50 centimeters.
