Quality with profundity

Paola Lenti merges technology and craftsmanship to create high-performance outdoor furniture, not forgetting style and elegance.

"I am fascinated by the yachting industry because it challenges us, drives our material research and pushes us to create new solutions to improve residential products as well," says company founder Paola Lenti. "The rediscovery of the craftsmanship that is part of our tradition and the ability to combine it with modern production technologies make each of our pieces unique and distinctive, in contrast to the usual standard goods." With its repeated participation in the Monaco Yacht Show in Port Hercule this year, the Italian company is once again underlining its position as one of the leading producers of indoor and outdoor furniture perfectly suitable also for the yacht sector.

Besides the traditional presence in the exclusive Upper Deck Lounge, the VIP entrances and the outdoor areas overlooking the Parvis Piscine, the stages for Paola Lenti's outdoor furniture in the port of Monaco were more than impressive: as a striking example among many, the magnificent CRN M/Y RIO, designed by Omega Architects, which was only delivered in May 2022 and is CRN's latest steel and aluminium superyacht. 62 metres of sporty dynamism combined with stylish elegance, manufactured in the Ancona shipyard on Italy's Adriatic coast. The designers of Pulina Exclusive Interiors were responsible for the interior design of the four decks and the equipment of the spacious outdoor areas including the pool, each of which can be used flexibly thanks to Paola Lenti's creative designs, such as "Cove", "Sabi" and "Portofino" seating – the latter designed specifically for yachts and awarded the Good Design Award in 2016 – and the "Giro", "Bloom" and "Sciara" side tables. The linear aesthetics of American walnut and white lacquered oak which were used in boat building are lightened by the familiar bold colours of the Paola Lenti furniture covers, from azure blue to light turquoise, deep fuchsia and vibrant greens.

The Italian manufacturer's continued success is linked to its extensive expertise: the team of Paola Lenti has been continuously researching the development of increasingly high-performance technical materials for the outdoor sector since the introduction of the exclusive technical yarn "Rope" in 2002. After all, salt water, the sun's rays and changing weather conditions demand a lot from the materials. The yarn "Twiggy", the quick-drying fabric "Maris" and the structural material "Diade" are all tools Paola Lenti uses in this context to design furnishings and custom-made fixtures that are environmentally friendly, sustainable, durable and resistant to water, UV rays, bacteria and mould. "Each product and the production process are inspired so as to respect nature: we do not use toxic substances nor chemical treatments, we endorse local producers and, in the field of synthetic products, we use recyclable materials or those that have been recycled," says Paola Lenti. The long-established company thus sets standards, as the thoughtful approach is not yet a matter of course in yachting. (lp)
