Guest of honour Jaime Hayon

For the 21st edition of the international interior biennial in Kortrijk, project coordinator Dieter Van Den Storm managed to snare the Spanish designer Jaime Hayon. The youngest and the first Spanish guest of honour ever, is known for his frivolous design and unbridled imagination. Jaime Hayon has already worked behind the scenes for six months on the project he will show in October at Interieur 08. The installation is the first major retrospective of Hayon's work, from his first designs and objects to his most recent creations.

Gallery 113

Founded last year and already a center of the international design scene: Gallery 113 is a fusion of the studio Arne Quinze, the company Quinze&Milan and the Italian manufacturer Moroso. Inside the former halls of the manufacturer b.i.c. carpets, the space of more than 1,500 sqm acts as a showroom for Moroso and Quinze&Milan, and accommodates at the same time special exhibitions - at last the porcelain exhibition „Fragiles" and „Backstage Moroso". Melting away the borders between art and design more and more, Arne Quinze will show during the Interieur some of his current and new installations. In addition the book „Arne Quinze Works", which is published by Die Gestalten, will be presented with a talk by Lukas Feiress and Arne Quinze on the 18 October at 8 p.m.
