artec3 is an independent lighting design practice with offices in Barcelona, London and Sao Paulo. The studio, founded in 1998 by lighting designer Maurici Ginés, specializes in architectural lighting design, bespoke lighting products, and light art installations and collaborates with prominent architects worldwide.

Working in close collaboration with architects and other consultants through all stages of the design process (concept design, schematic design, technical design, construction, and site supervision), we create new ways to perceive and experience architectural and urban space through the use of high-quality lighting design that incorporates energy efficiency, the latest technology, and interaction with daylight.

Frequently, an architectural lighting project requires a special product for seamless integration with the architecture. We develop bespoke luminaires to make the lighting concept a reality.

Light both evokes and conveys emotion. Using state-of-the-art technology, we create artistic installations that promote and explore the interactions of light, people, sound, and space.
