Cindy is a furniture and interior designer who understands the importance of knowing how a piece of furniture works inside and out. While leading design at Nemschoff, she saw a demand for someone with technical furniture design expertise and an interior design mindset. This inspired her to start Carpenter-Smith Southwest (CSSW) in 2002. For Cindy, it’s all about the details. From craftsmanship to how a piece functions and makes you feel, Cindy pays attention to every detail and works closely with her clients to ensure the choices they make go beyond how a piece looks. Her experience on both the manufacturing and design sides of the business allow her to play an integral role in customizing pieces to meet the client’s precise specifications.

Cindy is proud to represent premier lines of furnishings including HALCON, HBF/HBF Textiles, HighTower, Nemschoff, and SitOnIt/Ideon enabling CSSW to ensure their clients have access to the best products in the industry. From technical specifications to form, function and design elements, her team is extremely knowledgeable about the full range of each manufacturer’s products. Cindy has a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design from Texas Christian University. She enjoys traveling all over the world, great design, great food and surrounding herself with family and friends.
