Fanny Aronsen, born in Malmö to a Swedish mother and Norwegian father, grew up in Sweden. Now working in her studio in Stockholm, she has lived and worked in Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam for many years.
Her visual trademark is tactile fabrics with intriguing textures and colours. Fanny Aronsen's Scandinavian background and international experience is often juxtaposed in her designs; you will find traces of Nordic history and cultural heritage, although the final result transcends cultural and geographical borders.
Fanny Aronsen has received several awards for her designs: the German Rote Punkt, the Swedish Utmärkt Svensk Form, and the Dutch awards Mobila Innovative Prijs and Goed Industrieel Ontwerp.
Fanny Aronsen is a Professor at the University of Stockholm, where she lectures at the renowned Konstfack - University College of Arts, Crafts and Design.
