Born on the 26 February 1958 in Imperia, he graduated in architecture in 1981 at the Politecnico of Milan, the city where he lives and works. Several are the fields of his design research which ranges from industrial design to graphic and from architecture to installations.
Many objects of his are collected in important design collections as the New York Museum of Modern Art "Permanent Design Collection", the permanent design collection of the Israel Museum of Jerusalem, Collection du Fond National d'Art Contemporain of Paris e in important private collections. His works achieved several awards and mentions: his "Less"chair, produced by Nemo and the "Libroletto" (designed with Bruno Munari) have been selected for the Compasso d'Oro, his broom "Titi" won the Design Plus 2000 award and his "Foglia" chair, by Novecentoundici has been selected for the Red Dot Award 2002. Member of the Ordine Architetti Milano, A.D.I. and BEDA/Bureau of European Designers Association, he taught several lessons in important italian and international universities. He is professor for the Politecnico of Milan, for the Accademia of Brera, Milan and for the Free University of Bozen. Recently he has taken part in 9th International Exhibition of Architecture of Venice and in the 1st Architectural Biennial of Beijing.
