Meike Langer

Meike Langer is an independent product designer. From her Studio in Frankfurt she collaborates with international clients and galleries such as the Italian label ex.t. Her works have been showcased at international trade fairs and exhibitions in Paris, Milan, Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne and Kortrijk . In 2012 and in 2013 she was nominated for the German Design Award in the category Newcomer. She studied product design at the University of Art and Design in Offenbach am Main and at the ECAL in Lausanne. An internship in the studio of Patricia Urquiola in 2007 enhanced her sense for materials, colors and textures. While graduating as designer she established her own studio in 2010 and has since then been involved in freelance projects for various companies and institutes. With a strong preference for clear lines and natural materials she enjoys to create functional objects, elaborated down to the last detail, yet remaining light and easy to handle.
