SELLEX S.A. was founded in San Sebastián in 1977, and right from the beginning it has devoted all its efforts to the promotion of design furniture and equipment.
In the seventies, early eighties, when Spain was still far from Europe, SELLEX promoted and diffused the Scandinavian design by achieving a wide introduction of the Swedish trademark INNOVATOR whose products were until the end of the eighties a must at the shops specialised in design in Spain. Besides producing the INNOVATOR collection, SELLEXintroduced and established in the Spanish market the distribution of very well known and internationally recognized prestige Scandinavian companies like FRITZ HANSEN, NELO, INNO, HYLLINGE...

This activity of pushing and spreading out the Scandinavian design was accompanied also by an important concern and dedication to the creation of own products, in collaboration with the most relevant Spanish designers at that time. Such is the point, that SELLEX is the only firm producer of design furniture in Spain that has granted licenses of its products to countries such as Sweden or USA.

In 1984, SELLEX was an active member in the constitution of the Design company, SIDI which continues its activity nowadays.

SELLEX continued and increased its work in this line during the nineties, reaching today the 90% of the whole turnover with own products. As a complement to this, SELLEX is an exclusive distributor of the products of the Italian company SEGIS.

Along the most than 30 years of existence, SELLEX has acquired a significant experience in the Contract market and equipment of public areas, such as Universities, Hospitals, Hotels, Airports, so on..., both in Spain and abroad, and its products are being distributed in more than 40 countries around the world.

SELLEX has obtained a fair number of prizes and awards to its work on favour of design, along these years.
