The essence of a rug. The design reduces the pattern to the essential, to the so-called “rug backbone”. Bakhtiar comes across as a simplified woodcarving of an Oriental classic because of the use of two colors. Here too the background is made of wool, the pattern knotted of silk. Bakhtiar is offered with a knot density of 400.000 knots per sqm, Persian highland wool with 40% pure natural silk.
