k solid aluminum plate, the elements of The Secretary are designed as individual pieces of a larger square-peg in square-hole assembly. The ends of the tenons are plug-welded and ground smooth. The resulting mono-form is then encased in a low-sheen black

powder-coat. By using this specialized joinery, Jonathan has enabled endless shapes to be fabricated without visible welds.
