Die Küche als Ort der Glückseligkeit – imm Cologne Teil 3

Mondana is a seat in solid cedarwood whose shape is inspired by an object in everyday use as dear to a woman’s world – and as indispensable – as her bag. By removing it from its conventional visual context and associating it with a different material like wood, this is a kind of Pop Art tribute to an icon of our times. The single block of wood is worked so that it takes on the form and sinuous movements typical of leather bags; the allusion is completed by adding leather straps, attached with metal studs. Thanks to great attention to detail a faithful and life-like reproduction of the original object is created. This stool unites practical and aesthetic values and is envisaged for use both in the home and in public places, lending the contexts in which it is placed a touch of originality, a true marriage of art and design.
