Take the effort out of cooking

You have to look twice to see the exclusive kitchen hidden within this nearly seven metre long wall combination. Even then it can only be seen when it is actually needed. At the press of a button the central portion of the wall – across a total length of just under five metres – opens up to reveal the working space with storage areas, shelving, extractor fan and integrated lighting. Located around the flexible working area and concealed behind the fronts are storage units, pull-outs and electrical appliances. The imposing expanse of the front and its relaxed feel are not the only highlights in this kitchen. The innovative design and front surface finished in natural rust also give it a unique appearance. The rust surface finish is made using a special mix of iron particles and is sprayed on by hand in the same way as a lacquer coating. The ability to determine individually the exact degree of oxidisation means that each front is completely unique. Rust has become established as a favourite stylistic device among interior designers because it radiates an earthy warmth and sets distinctive accents. The “Hidden Kitchen” is for those with discerning tastes: When closed, the unique surface gives it the appearance of a design object and lends the space it occupies a lounge feel. This effect is further reinforced at the display stand through the use of modern living room elements. When opened it offers the functionality and ease of use of a fully equipped kitchen.
