A figurehead that puts the human being at the centre, Ilse Crawford heads design company Studioilse alongside her brand consultancy. With a whole approach to design, addressing the 360 experience, her studio breathes life into brands, buildings and streets.
Studioilse has definitive approach to creating long lasting and charismatic brands. Using left-brain and right-brain intelligence, the studio combines empirical research with human understanding. Always starting from the context, the client, plus the social and economic realities, the studio then addresses our human needs. Studioilse defines the brand experience, by building worlds with rituals, rhythms and routines that engage communities, and creates new realities.
Studioilse designs places and objects that speak to all our senses, that can be smelt, heard and felt and add resonance to our lives. Their projects have soul, and establish strong, authentic identity, one that can be imitated but never copied. The studio uses multi disciplinary skills to realize this vision; creative direc¬tion, design strategy, interior design and architecture, product design as well as communication.
Current projects include the development of an apartment block in Hong Kong with Blake's Advisors, and an event space in Budapest, with Tadao Ando. Consultancy clients include Marks and Spencer.
