Christophe Pillet has also produced the two-seater Square sofa, which is an addition to the series of the same name presented last year, consisting of lounge chair, armchair, stool and front/side sofa accent tables. Square sofa has the same rigorous lines as the rest of the collection. The concept is based on a rectangular prism upholstered in saddle leather or leather, hollowed out and softened by two leather cushions, one on the back and one on the seat. The gently-curved arms give an enveloping sensation while retaining the clean, elegant lines of this series. Four slender metal legs provide structure and a distinctive line, adding length and lightness to these minimalist designs whose only real concession to frivolity is the detailing on the metal feet.
