The design Gartenfreund’s hand-drawn, photo-realistic flowers, butterflies and birds were combined in Christian Fischbacher’s in-house studio. The modern design is digital-printed on a fine cotton batiste. A polyurethane coating applied with a rotary screen gives the fabric a technical feel. The production of the fabric involves a very complicated process: a total of nine steps are necessary to produce the final product. Gartenfreund is produced in Austria and is colour-matched with the plain item Papyrus II.
