Alejandro Aravena (1967), architect of the Universidad Católica de Chile, established Alejandro Aravena Architects in 1994. He was Visiting Professor at Harvard GSD (2000-2005) and and has been named International Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). He is currently member of the Pritzker Prize Jury. His professional Work comprises Educational facilities, Institutional, Corporate, Cultural and Public buildings, Houses and Housing, and products like Chairless, manufactured by Vitra. He has received Awards such as the Zumtobel Group Award in 2014, Erich Schelling Architecture Medal in 2006 (Germany), the Silver Lion at the XI Venice Biennale, the Marcus Prize in 2010 and the Avonni Prize for "Innovator of the Year".
