An architect by training, a painter by inclination, a designer by vocation and a writer by the desire to gain friends,Oscar Tusquets Blanca is the prototype of the complete artist, a figure which the modern world has brought dangerously close to extinction.

He was born in Barcelona in 1941, he graduated like architect in 1965, at the Superior Technical School of Architecture of Barcelona. Some of his most significant works of the last years are: Extension and remodeling of the Palau of Music in Barcelona, Residential Complex in Fukuoka (Japón), Alfredo Kraus Audience in Las Palmas (Canaria), Polideportivo Daoiz y Velarde in Madrid, the Barcelona Princess hotel in Barcelona, the remodeling of several exposition rooms of the museo de Decorative Arts in the Louvre in Paris, and the Miramar hotel in Barcelona.

Founding partner of Bd Barcelona design, in this production company he started as designer of furniture and objects, activity for what he has won the National Award of Design and some of his pieces are in the collections of the most important museums like the Moma of New York or George Pompidou of Paris.

In addition to several prizes of architecture and design, he has been distinguished with the Gold medal to the Merit in the Beautiful Arts, the standard of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the Creu de Sant Jordi for the whole of his professional career.

In 1994 he published his first essay Más que discutible (More to discuss) (Tusquets Publishing); in 1998 Todo es comparable (Everything is comparable) and in 2000 Dios lo ve (God sees it) (both titles in Editorial Anagram). Recently he has published Dalí and other friends and Anna (Publishing RqueR).
