A solid footing on an upward spiral
EeStairs designed a sweeping staircase for the new headquarters of Dutch manufacturer Vreugdenhil.
The cells design is an evolution of the Leonardo design which consisted of very open balustrade. Some clients felt nervous about the openness of the balustrade so we designed a more enclosed system. Using design methods pioneered in Leonardo, we explored a whole host of organic looking structures before deciding on a cell type look. Based on Veronoi diagrams, the cell design is randomly generated for each project.
