Hardly any other colour combines energy, warmth and individuality so skilfully.
It attracts attention, creates atmosphere and sets specific accents.

In this issue, we focus on the complexity of a colour that is often underestimated in design, but never overlooked. It shapes rooms without imposing itself and shows character without being loud.

Our selection includes lighting, furniture, functional objects and playful sculptures. Even the bathroom is being reimagined — in shades  ranging from delicate butter yellow to bold yellows and warm ochre tones.

Enjoy discovering them!
Louis Poulsen: Panthella 160 portable
Design: Verner Panton, 1971, 2024
As part of its autumn 2024 collection, Louis Poulsen presents the Panthella 160 Portable in six fresh colourways — including a vibrant yellow that emphasises the playful nature of Verner Panton's iconic design. New technologies enhance functionality and bring Panton's characteristic, exploratory design worlds even more into focus.
Pedrali: Buddy Oasi
Good ideas for furniture design work best all year round — that's what Busetti Garuti Radaelli thought too. The creative trio designed the organically shaped ‘Buddy Oasi’ seating system for Pedrali, which is now also available in an indoor version — including in a warm, inviting yellow that adds sunny accents and brings rooms to life.
Roca: Nu
Design: Inma Bermúdez, 2024
Roca brings colour to the bathroom with its Nu series — above all with a bright yellow that creates expressive accents. The fittings in this shade are like a ray of sunshine and are inspired by Mediterranean architecture, where bold colours meet white surfaces. The collection was developed in collaboration with Inma Bermúdez's studio, which deliberately opted for bold, glossy colours. In addition to yellow, Nu is also available in blue, green and other intense colours — each of which brings character and vitality to the room in its own way.
Agape: Massicci
Design: Marco Zito, 2025
The solid cast glass washbasin in ochre yellow really comes into its own: the warm colour enhances the depth of the material and reflects light in a unique way. Shaped in fire and solidified into a monolithic volume with fine faceting, every angle becomes an experience. In addition to ochre yellow, it is also available in transparent glass.
Layered: Ten Years Unfolded Collection
Design: 2025
To mark its 10th anniversary, LAYERED is presenting the Ten Years Unfolded collection featuring reworked classics in new colourways. The combination of ochre and light blue is particularly striking: it combines warmth and freshness, tradition and zeitgeist — and lends the graphic patterns of the carpets a new lightness. The reinterpretations of designs such as Illusion, Triangle and Letters not only reflect the brand's characteristic style, but also show how subtly colour can change the effect of form and surface.
Scarabeo: Laila
Design: 2025

Butter Yellow in particular adds a soft, friendly touch and gives the collection a modern lightness. Magis: Animal Factory
