A touch of quiet never harms

It's all in the name with TENSA.NEXT: the next generation aims to set new standards true to tradition and faithful to quality for continuation of the TENSA success story. The principle is quite simple and straightforward: the more static your working style, the more dynamic your seated posture needs to be. Thanks to the innovative and reliable torsion mechanism, which was fine-tuned for TENSA.NEXT and is oriented to the human anatomy and biomechanics, as well as a controlled-twist backrest and a lumbar support, the TENSA.NEXT task chair adapts to the user's movement more than ever and promotes dynamic sitting. The four-way suspension reacts to body movement with a hitherto unknown level of precision. Furthermore the additional seat tilt adjustment by 4° prevents pressure on the thighs as well as the dreaded hunched back.
The "intrinsic values" of TENSA.NEXT are also expressed in the design idiom. Although products nowadays have to use emotional design factors to arouse interest, it is still superior technical performance that forms the basis for product design. That applies in particular to issues relating to health in the workplace. That's why the exceptional updated DTS mechanism is behind the huge and ongoing success of the TENSA office chair family. The team at ITO Design, where they specialise in seating design and workplace development, sees it this way, too. According to ITO Design, "Our goal was to find a coherent, compelling form for the seat, backrest and frame that takes up the dynamic potential of the DTS synchro mechanism but is also the right shape to facilitate and support a mobile sitting position." The seat height and depth are individually adjustable. The armrests allow optimum adjustment of the armrest pad. Both swivel armrests are adjustable in height, width and depth. The backrest measures 67 cm, so TENSA.NEXT is really comfortable even for taller people. It is available in various styles – 3D fabric, fully upholstered in hard-wearing fabric, mesh back and textured fabric – with a star base in plastic and aluminium. To come up with the TENSA.NEXT, König + Neurath has systematically continued to develop the unique character of the TENSA office chair family for the next generation.
