Product description

As a result of Lammhults X-WORKS project, where five design students were chosen to have access to Lammhultsproduct development team during a year, Boss & Mini Boss, two playful waste paper bins with associations to naturewere launched autumn 2017.

In addition to the existing waste paper bins in powder coated steel sheet, they are now launched in ash veneer togive a slightly softer and more organic expression. That Norwegian designer Tuva Rivedal Tjugen has found her inspiration from nature is reflected in the pine coneshaped design and the overlapping layers resembling tree bark.

The choice of the ambigious name ”Boss” which means rubbish in norwegian concludes Tuva’s vision for the product. It should be obvious to throw your rubbish in the bin and to achive that it needs to demand attention in its surroundings,”like a boss”.

Boss and Mini Boss are made of thin steel sheet, powder coated in a number of colors, and has a matching lidalternatively also in natural or black stained ash veneer with a powder coated lid. A lid in polished brass is alsoavailable for a more exclusive touch. All have a removable lid that covers the waste bag in a simple and neat way. The large bin contains a removable bucket that collects any liquid.

By combining a clear but organic expression, Boss stands out and catches the eye creating an inviting and freshcontribution in its surroundings. The waste paper bin comes in two sizes, the larger one is well suited for publicenvironments and offices and the smaller one, Mini Boss, is an excellent choice for the personal workplace or homeoffice. Separation at source can be clarified by selecting different colors on the bins for different materials.
