A touch of new objectivity

Quo vadis, furniture design? This year’s Salone del Mobile reveals a few ideas. An analysis in our glance back at the fair.
Verner Panton designed the simple Bachelor chair in 1955, and over time it has become almost iconic. He also designed the accompanying footstool and table.
With its minimalist design, the chair is made to be moved around easily without compromising on sitting comfort. The ingenious Panton Bachelor series can also withstand a trip into the garden and then back into the sitting room.
