Berlin in the spotlight
One of the highlights is the project exhibition selected by world-architects.com, which shows a total of 40 works by international members of the platform from the fields of lightweight construction, light and simple building. Circular construction will the subject of discussion in the form of interviews. The special show ‘Leicht.Bau’ selected by raumprobe is also a must: Hannes Bäuerle will explain the complex subject area to guests using selected material samples and other exhibits. In addition, the ‘Art by FibR’ show offers the opportunity to explore the extraordinary properties of fibre composites, which are the result of a combination of innovative, computer-based design methods and robotic production. The façade structure of the Texoversum in Reutlingen was made from these materials - part of which will be on display at Architect@Work. Like their natural counterparts, the resource-saving structures are particularly light, versatile in design and can support heavy loads.
In addition to Hannes Bäuerle, the speakers include Mikala Holme Samsøe from Ensømble Studio Architektur in Berlin with ‘Einfach. Further. Beautiful. – Aesthetics of reductive modernism’ and Nanni Grau from Hütten & Paläste in Berlin with “Spaces for change”. Nataliya Sukhova from Transstruktura with ‘As simple as possible, but not simpler’ and Martin Jasper from Jasper Architects with ‘Keep it Simple: Simplicity in the field of tension between complexity and context’ as well as Susanne Sturm from CKRS Architekten with ‘1+1+1=1’ provide plenty of interesting thoughts.
