Expormim 2023: LOOP

Gentle curves of bentwood and a surface of wicker – this combination has been a recipe for success since centuries, as it is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also easy to maintain and durable. For Expormim, Norm Architects have devised a structure of peeled and tinted natural rattan, which, with numerous arches and flowing transitions, lends an ornamental effect to the clarity of the natural material. Thanks to a three-stage coating, it is highly resistant to solar radiation through UV filters. All surface treatments are also water-based. For the cover of the comfortable seat, there are numerous fabrics to choose from, which give "Loop" an individual character depending on the colour and structure. The back is supported by an oval backrest that bends slightly forward at the ends. Thanks to the breathable and flexible nature of the material, it is also particularly comfortable for the person sitting on it. "Loop is our take on the classic multipurpose chair: a dining chair, a café chair, a kitchen chair, a balcony chair, that extra chair in a nice corner or in the hallway.
