Form & Refine 2023: BLUEPRINT CHAIR

The structure is solid to the maximum: the clear lines of oak appear archetypal and merge smoothly into one another. The backrest, for example, is steam-bent into its final shape from a single piece of wood; there is not a single screw to be seen in the "Blueprint Chair". The human body was used as a model for the organic shape of the backrest and the seat, thus supporting a healthy posture. "With this chair, we tried to find a balance between sophistication and robustness. We aimed for a chair with a distinct character and gave it stretched legs that gently embrace the curved backrest. We also wanted it to be stackable, comfortable and fit into any environment," says Jonas Herman Pedersen of Herman Studio. For the finish, there is a choice between oak, white oiled and black stained oak, and it is also possible to have the "Blueprint Chair" by Form & Refine made in an individual colour on request. (am)
