GLAMORA
Since its foundation in 2010, Glamora has placed a central focus on the interplay between space and surface: the Italian company views the wall as a medium in its own right, capable of connecting cultural, material and design dimensions. The motifs emerge from ongoing research drawing on art, literature, nature and impressions of diverse landscapes and cultures. This approach shapes the design and results in surfaces that are not intended to decorate spaces, but rather to lend them a character and a sense of meaning. Glamora also adopts a working method focused on long-term responsibility, promoting both cultural and social initiatives. The company, based in Sassuolo, operates a showroom in a historic palazzo on Via Solferino in Milan.
During Milan Design Week, Glamora is showcasing the ‘Vespera Collection’ in these historic rooms – a new project in which the décor is distilled into an essential aesthetic. The collection demonstrates how textile textures, lighting and subtle visual effects can influence a room’s atmosphere. Many of the motifs are inspired by nature and translated into a distinctive visual language. The central element is “GlamPlissé”, a linen wall covering with vertical pleating, whose spatial effect is shaped by the incidence of light. The colour palette is deliberately muted, enhancing a calm, clear overall effect. The presentation in Milan invites visitors to reconsider the role of material, light and surface in an architectural context.
