Questions on fresh air
Otherwise part of the international sanitation and heating trade fair ISH, Indoor-Air from 5 to 7 October 2021 offers a new, exciting opportunity to experience answers to current questions of the industry presented in a compact form. The thematic spectrum in Hall 12 ranges from the optimisation of health protection in buildings to the effects of the tightening of climate protection targets. An extensive programme of lectures and panel discussions is also part of the event: Dr. Eckart von Hirschhausen will speak on the subject of "Bad Air in Germany's Schools", while other speakers include Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dirk Müller from the Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate at RWTH Aachen University and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christoph Kaup, Chairman of the German Building Climate Association (Fachverband Gebäude-Klima e.V.). Especially in times of a pandemic, knowledge about the requirements for ventilation and air purification is elementary for decision-makers, planners and users. Thus, Indoor-Air, together with experts from industry, business, technology, economics and medicine, will convey current possibilities for reducing the risk of infection in rooms, such as the different types and modes of action of air purification, air filters, air purification devices and UV-C. "We see the Indoor-Air trade fair as a real opportunity for ventilation and air-conditioning technology. Especially mechanical ventilation has a key role to play in pandemic times to dilute or exchange air contaminated with viruses with fresh air. Indoor-Air provides a decisive communication platform for this purpose, and it is important to use it," says Andreas von Thun, Chairman of the Board of the Manufacturers' Association of Air Handling Units and Managing Director of BerlinerLuft Technik GmbH.
