Kristalia 2021: PALCO

Flexible, practical and reduced to the essentials: The new outdoor seating system "Palco" by Kim Colin and Sam Hecht for Kristalia.

"You're finally at home" is Kristalia's headline for the new "Palco" seating system by architect Kim Colin and industrial designer Sam Hecht. Being at home, relaxing on the terrace, letting go of everyday life – this requires outdoor furniture that is both comfortable and flexible. "Palco" consists of teak slats of different lengths with a metal base as well as freely movable upholstered elements and, as a platform, offers this freedom perfectly. The square cushions can be easily moved to the desired position on the stage, from a seat to a chaiselongue to a sofa, facing each other or positioned next to each other. A wide range of colours is available for the quick-drying cover, from subtle grey to light green. In addition, the pedestal without upholstery can also serve as a table. For the night, "Palco" is well protected thanks to a cover with special Casper lining. With "Palco", Kim Colin and Sam Hecht have created a practical and aesthetic piece of outdoor furniture that is as changeable as the weather – and is perfectly prepared for any situation. (am)
