Italian architects and designers Roberto and Ludovica Palomba are prime representatives of the trend to upgrade the bathroom to the status of living space in its own right. Their designs for leading bath makers such as Kos, Ceramica Flaminia and Laufen unite sculptural qualities with a knowledge of the materials and a manifest flair for the unconventional.
And now, to coincide with the Milan Furniture Fair, the first comprehensive appraisal of their oeuvre has come out, published by Hatje Cantz Verlag.Designed by Frankfurt graphic designer Antonia Henschel (SIGN Kommunikation), the book is entitled "Bathrooms-from inspiration to lifestyle" and offers many a fascinating insight into the Palmobas' work and the sources of their inspiration.
