Fabric frenzy

From March 16 to 19, 2018 international textile manufacturers and fabric brands will be presenting their innovations in the Bavarian state capital, Munich.
by Anna Moldenhauer | 2/24/2018

For a long weekend in March, Münchner Stoff Frühling will once again make its mark, opening its doors on a comprehensive and colorful program. The fair takes place in the showrooms and temporary locations of the textile manufacturers and fabric brands in downtown Munich, and all venues can be reached by shuttle bus. A new location is Priscohaus on Prinzregentenplatz, where amidst stucco ceilings and herringbone parquet several exhibitors will present their new collections and concepts to trade visitors. This year, for the first time Hamburg designer Pascal Walter will curate a show entitled “bemerkenswert” (remarkable) providing an overview of the colors, patterns and techniques that are currently trending.

Alongside guided tours, a panel discussion is planned on the topic “From Hospitality to Residential – What influence does the textile design of hotels have on private furnishings?” featuring designer Alfredo Häberli, amongst others. Then, on Friday evening many exhibitors are hosting events in their own showrooms. Visitors to the event “Dolce Vita” at Palais Lenbach on Saturday evening can experience the flair of 1950s Italy.
