Alexander McQueen's inspirations

He linked fashion with technology, the natural sciences and art history, interwove historical and contemporary cuts and materials, thus creating grotesque and elegant robes. Hamburg's Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe is devoting a show to British fashion maker and head of design for the haute couture label of Givenchy, Alexander McQueen. The exhibition "Alexander McQueen Inspirations. Fashion Design" will run from Dec. 23, 2011 thru May 6, 2012 and presents about 30 models from his final collections posthumously, along with selected designs by others and a range of historical clothes.
