Until July 14, the travelling exhibition “The Swiss Touch in Landscape Architecture” will be making a stop at the Architekturforum Zurich, illuminating this field of activity from a national perspective. Not only does the exhibition present the historical context, it also provides a platform for budding new talent, displaying their work alongside pieces by well-established landscape architects.

From June 8 onwards, New York’s Guggenheim Museum will present “Art of Another Kind”, an exhibition dedicated to the pioneers of Abstract Expressionism. Around 100 works by US and international artists alike, such as Jackson Pollock, Yves Klein and Willem de Kooning, will serve to visualize the entire spectrum of this seemingly dégagé era of new beginnings.

Major events from various historical epochs, from the First Gulf War (1990/91), to 9/11 in New York (2001), to the Arab Spring (2011) are set in contrast, visualizing the transitions that have taken place in news reporting – from strategic control to almost unfiltered dissemination via the social media.
