The base material for ‘Mediterraneo’ is recycled plastic, which is processed into filament fibres and used to manufacture the carpet in various weave patterns. According to Object Carpet, this manufacturing process significantly reduces CO2 emissions compared to the production of carpeting from new polyester. ‘This fully recyclable collection reduces the burden on nature by enabling countless life cycles,’ says Antonio Rodriguez. The Object Carpet x Ippolito Fleitz Group collection adds a splash of colour with eight qualities and 111 colours, diverse structures and surfaces. Made from 100 per cent recycled Econyl® yarn and free of harmful substances such as emissions, it also impresses in terms of sustainability. One of the rugs from the collection laid in the meeting suites is ‘Skill x Chill’ with small, curled loops. Featuring gloss effects, it offers a gently shimmering texture and colour depth in 14 variants. The ‘Silky Seal’ acoustic tiles with subtle gloss effects and sophisticated structures, available in 29 brilliant colours, also contribute to the elegant ambience. The velvety surface of the brand-name fibres can withstand heavy use and gives the cosy rooms a particularly comfortable character.
