Züco, Swiss subsidiary of the Dauphin Group, is a long-standing manufacturer of high-end conference, office and lounge furniture. Based in Rebstein in Switzerland, the company makes seating where the masterful finishing enters into a symbiosis with a timeless and modern design. The Züco range has now been given a thorough facelift and rounded out to include interesting new products.
For example, Rüdiger Schaack designed the new “Selvio” office chair", which as the “entry-level model” delivers Züco quality at a very attractive price. The elegant swivel chair with the eye-catching S-shaped backrest of course also boasts completely state-of-the-art ergonomics. Schaack also focused on one of Züco’s bestsellers. The “VisitaRe” conference chair displays all its old virtues – transposed into an absolutely contemporary design idiom.
“Averio” is destined for lobby, lounge and meeting zones – an armchair that is as light as it is comfortable and allows for ergonomic and comfortable sitting even during long discussions. Its striking, modern shape with the trapezoidal backrests contrasts excitingly with the soft upholstery of the seat shell. It rests on a refined base frame consisting of metal runners or on a well-balanced swivel base. Züco also offers side-tables to match the armchairs – with their glass or marbled tops they underscore the high-grade feel of the “Averio” family.
The “Little Perillo” chair designed by Martin Ballendat is long since a modern classic. The ingeniously inverted strip that forms both seat and backrest has a fascinating aesthetic while also being highly ergonomic. Small wonder that “Little Perillo” is used in all manner of settings – as a lounge chair, for conference seating, and as a dining chair. Its small brother “Little Perillo XS” combined the iconic shape with less weight and comes with a plastic seating shell, an upholstered seat, or as a fully upholstered version. Moreover, you can choose between different feet. Züco also makes available a counter version that can be superbly combined with the other “Little Perillo” variants.
A tad more extravagant, but just as perfectly finished is “Crazy Little Perillo”: as a Hard Rocker complete with a leather jacket, in the cowhide edition with that Alpene feel, or with clad in the famous Swiss Army blanket. The upholstered furniture in the “Destino” collection is ideal for luxurious lounges and seating groups. Here, each detail attests to Züco’s superb craftsmanship – be it the amazingly careful attention paid to the stitched seams, the contrasting buttons used, or the perfect clarity of the backrest. High-grade upholstery fabrics and leather give the armchairs and sofas a decidedly prestigious touch.
